Habanero Lime Switchback Craft Beer Hot Sauce

About this sauce

This sauce starts with one of our favorite Vermont ingredients: Switchback Ale. We take the smooth, malty beer from Burlington’s Switchback Brewing Company and build a bright, citrusy hot sauce around it with habanero peppers and plenty of fresh lime. The beer adds a subtle depth and roundness that you can’t quite put your finger on, but you definitely notice when it’s there. The result is a hot sauce that’s lively, balanced, and just the right amount of fiery. The habaneros bring a clean heat, the lime keeps everything fresh, and the Switchback ties it all together. It’s especially good on tacos, grilled shrimp, fish, burrito bowls, nachos, and anything that benefits from a little citrus and a little heat. Basically, if it would taste good with a squeeze of lime and a cold beer, this sauce will probably make it better.
