Japanese-inspired umami meets Canadian maple syrup in Miso Maple Madness, our sweet, savoury and complex Pepper X® hot sauce. We developed this recipe around the unique flavour characteristics of Pepper X®, bringing together rich miso, gluten-free tamari, pure Canadian maple syrup, fresh lime, aromatic kaffir lime leaf and a carefully selected blend of Asian chillies. Miso and tamari deliver deep, savoury umami. Maple syrup adds a smooth, rounded sweetness, while citrus brings brightness and balance. Pepper X® ties it all together with a gentle 3/10 heat that lets the flavours do the talking. And the name? When we tasted the finished recipe, the reaction was pretty simple: “Mmm.” Miso. Maple.
