Blood Orange Chilli Marmalade is a unique twist on a traditional marmalade recipe, combining juicy blood oranges with spicy birds eye chillies. Delicious with... warm buttery toast roast chicken or duck extra mature cheddar or crumbly wensleydale How does it taste? Blood oranges have a lovely bright and tart flavour, reminiscent of raspberries and sunshine. Combining this with the raw cane sugar, there's a complex sweetness balanced with a little acidity - and of course, a little heat from the birds eye chillies. The peel isn't as bitter as other types of orange (such as Seville), so if you're not usually a marmalade fan, give this one a try! Where are the blood oranges from? The blood oranges are sourced via CrowdFarming, a platform that connects farmers directly to consumers and producers. Through CrowdFarming, Easton Chilli adopted a tree at Arancebio organic farm in Sicily, Italy, which we've named Queen Jamidala. She (amongst other trees) has provided us delicious juicy oranges since 2022. Long may she reign. How spicy is it? This is a mild chilli marmalade, rated at 2/5 on our heat scale. Award-winning GOLD in Taste of the West 2023 SILVER in Dalemain Marmalade Awards 2024
