We decided to get rid of the sugar and the preservative, and reinvented the line to be agave nectar based, with a high enough pH to be shelf stable all on its own. Cheers!” -Colin “We came to start making simple syrups in a rather round-a-bout way. We were a couple of months into our first year of selling at DFW area farmers markets, and we had yet to expand to very many cities. We quickly realized that the people who were making a killing at the farmers market were the people who were selling products that could be consumed on site, or at the very least, consumed before the next market rolled around. We needed something that people could buy every week, since the average shopper wasn’t blowing through a bottle or two of hot sauce every week.
